Well, you have been treating your sweet body in an unkind fashion, and it, too, wants to run and hide! And the way it’s doing it, is protecting itself with added pounds! It’s been abused, it’s tired, responding to your stress! AND your body continues to be a ‘faithful servant’ working VERY hard, on your behalf, to keep you alive and safe!
If you have ever had an issue with your weight, the words ‘battle of the bulge’, and ‘war with your weight’ unfortunately can ring true! Have you ever stopped to wonder how this all began? And who started these crazy phrases? I’m pretty sure you did not start your life feeling like your body was the enemy!
And can you even remember a time when you weren’t focused on your body? When did it CHANGE? When did you begin comparing yourself to others, to the unrealistic images Hollywood portrays, the media emphasizes? You are bombarded with unrealistic images constantly, and now you may feel that there is NO hope for you…..you begin to believe the only way you can achieve a healthy weight is by starving yourself and working out at the gym for countless hours! And, even then, is YOUR body ever going to look like THEIR body? Probably not…because it’s YOUR body!!
