I don’t know about you, but I have a tendency to be a creature of habit. I find an exercise program and I keep doing it. I find a new recipe and keep making it.
Unfortunately, I also know that these may not be the best strategies to maintain a healthy, lean and fit body. The body acclimates to the repeated food and activities. So ‘shaking it up’ allows you to amp up your nutritional and movement benefits, because you keep your body guessing!
So…what can you do to shake things up?
One of the things I’m doing is changing up my exercise routines! I’ve joined a gym, so I have options. I can do different cardio machines and there are also some classes to participate in. I’ve also decided to begin integrating Pilates into my week’s activities again. My body responds really well to Pilates, so it makes sense to be doing it! And, for me, taking a walk by the beach is a luxury I am not willing to miss out on! And I know there are other options, but this is a great start for me!
So I’m doing pretty well ‘shaking it up’ with my movement!
